2017 has been a great year and almost up and Yoruba Nollywood Industry have done an impressive job this year with some high qualitystorytelling movies,technicaldirection,casting down to postproduction. Most especially roles played by some talented act are now making it more understandableand educative to the audience at large. 1. Odunade Adekola Odunlade Adekola is a Nigerian actor, singer, film-maker, producer and director.He is the CEO of Odunlade Adekola Film Production (OAFP). He began acting in 1996, the same year he joined the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts practitioners and was under the tutelage of the late Nollywood actor and producer Isola Durojaiye (also known as Alasari).He had starred, scripted, produced and directed several Nigerian films over the years.In April 2014, he won the Africa Movie Academy Award, having emerged as best actor of the year. In December 2015, He marked his entrance into the Nigerian music industry.Due to his popularity and impact in the film industry, photographs of Adekola during filming is widely used as internet meme across Nigerian webosphere. This year has been a big year for the Most Sought-After Yoruba Nollywood Actor has he was awarded a first academic degree in Uniilag and also participated for the Glo Mega Star Tour along side his co Glo ambassadors No doubt the Meme lord is one of the biggest celebrity in Nigeria today.He has stared in more than 150 movies and was recently stared in a movie titled“CELEBRITY MARRIAGE”which was among the Best Nollywood movies this year. 2.Femi Adebayo Femi Adebayo his the son of veteran Nollywood actor, Adebayo Salami known as Oga Bello. He is a phenomenal Yoruba actor who is famous for his character interpretation skill. Femi Adebayo is a native of Ilorin Kwara state but he was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. Adebayo studied Law at the University of Ilorin, and he is currently doing his master degree in Theatre Art. The actor who had his first role at a Tade Ogidan movie, Owoblow back in 1995 has not looked back but starred in hundreds of home videos and has won the hearts of Yoruba movie lovers, wining four awards notably Best Yoruba actor at the 17th African Film Awards known as Afro Hollywood awards at the Stratford Town Hall, London and also the same category for the Best of Nollywood BON Awards in 2012. In 2016, The Trophy Ambassodor was been appointed has Special Assistant on Arts, Culture, and Tourism to the Kwara Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed. He has stared and featured in many blockbusters movies like Etiko Onigedu, Ika, Ege, Ikorira, Afaila Ojo and more. 3. Ibrahim Chatta Ibrahim Chatta is a Nigerian Actor, Producer and singer. He hails from Ilorin, Kwara State. Ibrahim Chatta, without doubts, is a bundle of talents. He means many things to his far-flung fans: actor, voice-over artiste, writer, song writer, song performer, script consultant and director. In the past 25 years, he has remained faithful to his first love, acting. And for this, he has been honored with several awards, at home and abroad, for his worthy contributions to the nation’s entertainment industry. Interestingly, after a failed relationship that produced a kid, Chatta recently took another bold step on the boulevard of marriage His creative styles of interpretation of roles has made him one of the the best in the game. He has stared in more than 100 movies. 4. Kunle Afod Kunle Afod is an indegene of Ibadan Oyo state in Nigeria is the first child from the family of 4 and he had his primary education in Festac Lagos, concluding it at Owo in Ondo state. He then had his secondary education at command secondary school, Jos. Kunle started his theater training under Ben Tomoloju Jide Ogungbade and Jahman Anikulapo later he joined Awada kerikeri by Adebayo Salami. 2017 has been a great year for the Ace Actor and Director as he was featured in the highly rated movie title“MENTALLY”and stared in several movies which includes Olorun Elija, American Wife, Takoko, Omi Ayo and the list goes on and on. He is also a movie producer with over 40 movies to his credit. He is versatile to interpret several roles perfectly. WHO IS YOUR BEST YORUBA NOLLYWOOD ACTOR THIS YEAR? For me Hidee!
